‘Intuitive Collage’ is a 3h workshop series ideated and facilitated by Araki Koman and based on her relationship with paper and her collage practice as an Artist. 

Participants will be invited to explore the art of collage, focusing on mindfulness & intuition through the use of found paper.

OUR AFTERNOON TOGETHER INCLUDES: 


1. Landing: We’ll begin with some light body movements and breathing practices to land into our body, become deeply present, and make space for our creativity to flow. 

 2. Paper gazing: Participants will have the opportunity to explore and engage with all of their senses with a variety of found paper. This part of the workshop encourages attendees to notice their bodily responses as they interact with different textures. 


3. Collage Artists inspirations: We will showcase examples of Araki’s work alongside pieces from various past and contemporary artists working with paper collage. This exploration will highlight the subtle ways these artists incorporate paper into their artwork. 


4. Collage making: Participants will be guided through the process of creating their own artwork using Araki’s curated collection of found paper. We look forward to an inspiring afternoon of exploration together.
